This house and location were amazing. The pictures are very accurate and the scenery was breathtaking. We went with 2 other families and there was plenty of space.
The only downside (and it’s still worth a 5 star rating) lots of light bulbs were out, the basement was so cold (we found the heaters), and we were told cleaners were going to drop off more shock for the hot tub and we never received)
POSITIVES…hosts were so friendly and extremely responsive, they were proactive in telling us about an AC/heat problem and offered a partial refund before we got there, the house had everything we needed, plus 2 washer/dryers, lots of space, the community center was so fun (& included), very comfy, plenty of things to do around the house, and the movie theater was a hit. All in all, we would go back in a heartbeat!!

What a beautiful place to stay in such a beautiful setting!
The Overlook Lodge is greater than the sum if its parts, as advertised, and perfectly suited for a larger gathering of family and friends.
The weekend was perfect. The accommodations were top tier. The views, sublime. This is a special spot. Would love to return.

My stay here was excellent, the view from the home was honestly better than expected from the photos. The home has been taken care of very well, no stains on the carpets from pets/children, spotless shower curtains/tubs, clean dishes/silverware, no smudges on the windows etc. I’d say the pictures accurately depict the home and the owners are very outgoing and responsive if you need anything. I’d highly recommend checking it out!

Great host.
This place was absolutely perfect for a guys weekend. The house was very nice and the views were stunning. Could not have booked a better place. Kylie and Elliot were extremely helpful and accommodating. The golf course was easily one of the best we’ve ever played. Definitely would come back or stay with them again.

The home is so accomadating to a good sized group! Plenty of space on every level! Views no matter where you look! We couldnt have enjoyed the house and trip more! It not only was clean, and had everything you could need, it was warm and felt like a home away from home!

We really enjoyed our stay at the spacious Overlook Lodge. Nestled in the NC mountains, this place has amazing views from all 3 back decks. The pics don't do it justice.
We enjoyed playing pool, watching movies in the projection movie theater, playing cards and soaking in the hot tub. The beds were more comfortable then at home and linens and cooking utensils were plentiful and easy to find.
The grocery store in the valley was huge, with everything you'd need to stock up and relatively close by, so even though it feels secluded in the gated community where Overlook is located you're close enough to civilization that there's no fear of running out of supplies.
We enjoyed our stay so much, that I think even our dog was sad to go! If we return to NC I'll definitely look to staying here again and highly recommend it to fellow travelers!

It's wonderful to hear that the home exceeded your expectations and provided a comfortable and enjoyable experience for you, even your dog! We appreciate your recommendation and would be absolutely thrilled to welcome you back whenever your travels bring you to NC!
The house is beautiful, and so spacious. The pictures don't do it justice. The view is absolutely stunning and quite a thing to wake up to. It has everything you need and so much more. The hot tub and theater are amazing touches. Those staying should just be aware that you will be somewhat removed from restaurants and such.
